The Bean Buzz Story
The story of the Bean Buzz Cafe began back in 2004, when Buzz simply suggested to partner Stephanie that he’d like to open a cafe of his own one day. Now, many years later, the Bean Buzz Cafe is the thriving culinary heart of the area.
Located on Macaulay Road in Kensington, Bean Buzz Cafe is much more than just a coffee shop. We’re a bakehouse, a sanctuary for coffee lovers, a mini library and a community hub. We’re so proud that our cafe has become a much-loved local meeting place, with a fun and open environment. We’re delighted that some of our regulars have not only become great friends with each other at Bean Buzz, but have also become our friends.
We love providing a space for conversation, but we also enjoy supporting our local community. We proudly support the fundraising efforts of our local schools and charity events in the Kensington area. We sell cooking books on behalf of our local neighbourhood house and we adorn the walls of the cafe with eye-catching art created by local artists (including our very own Stephanie). We even sell artwork from the talented orphans at the Upendo charity in Tanzania, with all profits donated to Upendo to help improve lives.
Buzz Bean also boasts a quirky little library in one corner of the cafe, which is much loved by many of our patrons. This free book exchange enables visitors to browse a book whilst they sip a coffee, borrow a book to read at home, or contribute a book of their own to the collection for the next visitor to enjoy.
